Kontrast
Personal project
The project explores brand identity for a publishing company. The assignment included designing four book covers for a cohesive book series, creating the inlay for one book, and binding the final book by hand.
The concept was developed through research into Swedish graphic design literature, with the goal of reimagining educational books in the visual design field as more visually engaging, inspiring, and contemporary.
The design and layout draw inspiration from Swiss Design and its underlying philosophy. Stripped of ornamentation, the visual language is guided by the idea that design should remain as invisible as possible. By minimizing traces of the designer’s subjectivity, the focus is placed on clarity and information, allowing the content itself to take center stage. An approach well suited to educational books.
